FREECACHING GUIDELINES
There are several guidelines for creating and finding a cache:
  • Caching may not lead to destruction of the local environment or objects in the area.
  • Caching may not pose a health-, security-, savety-, military risk or danger for the cacher who hides or finds the cache.
  • Caching is a free activity, so this site won't facilitate or permit commercial activities. It's a hobby / leisure, nothing more, nothing less.
  • Read the article about No-Go areas for cachers or outdoor enthousiasts and keep this in mind before you place a cache.
  • Everyone participating in this game should obey the local law / rules / guidelines, so hiding or retrieving a cache or being in the "outdoors" is your own responsibility. When you get into trouble it will be your problem and not the problem of somebody else or of the owner of this website.
  • Before you go, be prepared and tell people where you're going and when you will be back. You might get lost or stuck or in big trouble, that's part of life.
  • Preferably you should contact the land-owner, local authoritie(s), ranger(s) before you decide to place a cache. But we will not control this, it's your responsibility.
  • When there are problems / questions / remarks, discuss these in the forum of this website or contact us.
  • Do not log a cache when you have not been there, if so you're cheating yourself in the first place.
